How does the Duke game affect the team? A good question.

The Yale game could really get us rolling for the MAAC. Lets hope so. I'll miss it unfortunately.

The Yale game is big because it is an intra-state rival, and we will probably have a pretty decent crowd. Yale is a good team, but a team that we should be beating on our home court..... so it will be a good barometer of where our team is. A win would give us a lot of confidence going into the MAAC Season. A loss means that we regroup and refocus on what we need to do to stay undefeated in the MAAC.

Winning on our home court is a must for a successful season.

Yale lost to St Mary's last night, and they are now 5-4. They went on a two game west coast swing losing to Stanford and St Marys...... playing the same nights we played Charleston Southern and Duke. Their loss to St Mary's has to be similar to our CS loss, as far as losing a winnable game. Another similarity is that both teams lost their first 2 games of the season.

I think its going to be a great game.

With Yale flying back from West coast today, their schedule-maker may have done us a favor. They may be jet lagged a bit.

Because of its placement on the schedule, because of recent events and because of the team that we are playing, this game just might be the most important one on the schedule.

I like this game . Two good local teams playing in the new arena . I think there should be more games like this Quinn instead of CHarleston So. Yes even Sacred heart .
I saw Yale win the Phoenix classic in Hatrford . They defeated a very good Holy Cross team . They shot very well from the arc and pressed the much taller HC team with terrific perimeter defense like Harvard .This will be a real challenge to the young Fairfield back court . IMO ,FU backcourt is less experienced and talented than HC .
However despite size HC doesn't have anyone like Gai
Should be an interesting game critical test for both teams before they go into conference play . I will be there with my family .
BTW , wasn't HC supposed to play Fairfield this year ? are they going to play them next year ?

If it is any type of barometer, the last time we lost at Duke we proceeded to win our next five games in a row (1998 start of season). Let's hope the same holds true this time!
