It looks like the MAAC OOC season is basically over with tonights Loyola win over Central Conn. As far as I can tell, there is one game left ( a Loyola loss to Maryland). Joe Stag, where will the league stand at this point? Certainly was a good weekend especially with Siena beating Providence!

With the Stags win over Yale on Sunday, the MAAC jumped from 18th place down to 16th. Overall the MAAC is 43-42, with just a few games to go in the OOC Schedule. Fairfield went from 102 to 75 with the win...... and who is right ahead of us, Yale at 74.

One thing to watch is that our 9 OOC opponenets must do well in their league play. Duke, UNC-W, American, Yale and Harvard are in the Top 1-2 Teams in their league, so they should do well. Fordham will struggle for wins, but there young so it will help us (and all the MAAC) if they can get 5-6 league wins, which I think they can against a weak A-10 this year.

The Stags will have to win a lot vs the MAAC just to stay under 125. The MAAC average ranking per team is about 175, so we would have to about 13-5 just to reach 125. If we go 11-7, we probably end with 150. If we could go 15-3, that would probably put us at 100. Here are the Rankings:

Fairfield 75
Siena 90
Manhattan 133
Canisius 163
Iona 165
Marist 192
Niagara 210
Rider 223
St. Peter's 227
Loyola-Maryland 306

I forgot to add that St John's, Depaul, and Charleston Southern would probably be 3 key opponenets to watch as they could be at the top third of their league, or they could sink lower.
