The March issue has an article by George Rodecker featuring 13 players with a small appraisal of each. Deng Gai is one. He says DG has created a stir among pro scouts, is an amazing leaper, shot blocker, and defender. Also stated is his slow maturity on offense. He states "many think he could be a lottery pick after another season of play-he's that well regarded." He ends by saying "Once he learns to use all his physical attributes on the offensive end of the floor, he could be a monster player."
I'm not that enamored of Gai but I sense that he has not worked as hard to improve his game for the next level as he should.
Agree that the negativisn outweighs the positive, The program is bigger than any ONE player and that FF hoops will survive.

Vat, does Eastern Basketball have a web site and if so could you provide that info?

The only sites in the magazine hoopfan are listed under Circulation, hoops@pinehurst.net and Editorial at hoopgroup@aol.com. Hope it helps. Eastern Basketball was one of the first mags devoted to college hoop before the explosion in the 70's. Buonaguro was on the cover while at Fairfield. Good Luck.
