My point is that TOT does not totally bury people on the bench if they are not playing well. I think he tries to keep them in the game cause he knows he will need to use them down the line. I do think the strategy has work more than it has failed this year.
And TOT did play his hot players a little longer last night. Todd and Kudjo were not getting it done to open the game, and then when Goode and Bell came in they stayed in their for 6-7 minutes..... longer than usual. But as you say the system says that Todd and Kudjo did come back in with 9 minutes to go, and they struggled again and Goode/Bell were quickly back in . Should TOT have buried Todd and Kudjo on the Bench for the entire 1st half????
TOT then started Todd and Kudjo in the second half...... should he have left them on the Bench, cause Goode played great the 1st half. Going with Todd and Kudjo showed a lot of confidence and Faith in both of those players and they responded. How many times has a Fairfield player struggled in one half, and came up huge the next half??????? I think its happened a lot, and I happen to beleive that a lot of that is due to TOT's stragegy of keeping ALL players involved in the game. And that might be the best strategy for the way this team is configured.
I think if you check the running boxscore you will see that Goode/Bell played a lot when they were hot, and played less when they became ineffective.
I do not totally agree with the constant subbing, but overall I think that TOT has done an outstanding job at juggling players, and our depth and defensive focus is the reason that we have won. Especially since we proablby have only one player that will make the All MAAC Team.... maybe 2 with Oscar.

Name the only person who was able to consistantly hold Michael Jordon to under 20 points a night. The answer, Dean Smith. Many claim Smith is one of the all time greatest coaches in the game, but Jordon didn't show his true capabilities until he was no longer playing for the dean.
I think the same might be true of some current stags. Too many substitutions and not playing long enough to get in the flow of the game has hurt some stag players offensively. But they have been kept fresh on defense. You can't argue with success, if the team keeps winning no one will question TOT's coaching decisions. Losses to Rider, Siena and Niagara at home, leave Tim open to questions.

JCM, I cannot disagree with you, the Stags COULD be better with less substitution...... but I also cannot agree with you either, we COULD also be worse off.
If we had a stud starting lineup with 2-3-4 All MAAC players, I would agree with you 100%..... play them all 30+ minutes, but we have a bunch of young players that are trying to find their offensive games, along with some experience players that have limitations to their offense, but have great intensity and leadership.
I think if you look back in history you will see that TOT has always played his All MAAC players 30+ min per game.
