Subject: Siena beat Niagara - Our game with Niagara is Huge

With Siena beating Niagara, that gives us some more tie breaking advantages, but makes this Niagara game huge. The difference between a W and L could mean the difference between 1st or 5th.

If we can beat Niagara, and close out the season with wins at SPC and Loyola, we would sit at 14-4, sitting back and waiting to see.....as Manahttan has two tough remaining games with Iona and Siena away. They lose one of those, and the Tie breaker kicks in .... and We do well if Iona finishes 3rd.

If we lose, we drop to 11-5, and then we MUST WIN our last 2 games..... otherwise there is a realistic possiblity that we could drop into a tie with Iona, Niagara, and Siena..... depending on tie breakers, we could finish 4th or 5th. Niagara game is now the 2nd biggest game of the year (after Manhattan away).

Niagara got into deep foul trouble with Mendez and Reeves (both had 3 fouls in the 1st half). Getting to their bench will be a key for the Stags.

Does this mean that we pound the ball inside. Thats been our strategy in prior games. It worked at mahattan but failed versus Rider. stags need to overcome a terrible loss at home and win on the road, we did it last week, but having to do it 2 weeks in a row might be toomuch to ask. Win or lose I think stags are destined for second or third. Talk about inconsistency.

our undefeated road record in the maac is impressive, but all signs say that its going to end in niagara. its not an easy place to play, and this game probably means a lot more to niagara than it does to us. the team has won on character, but now is the time to start hitting some jump shots. we all sense that somthing needs to be done to kick start this offense, i hope that o'toole also senses it.
