CS,

You must have been reading my mind, I was just about to post on this subject. The Stag's 6th man will NOT be providing a Bus to this game. However, Iona is only 45 minutes from Fairfield, so I would expect that many fans could be making the Trip. In addition, there is a large group of fans in lower Fairfield County, Westchester and NYC that are even closer to this game.

I would like to know who is interested in attending any PreGame Festivities. This game seems like the perfect Opportunity to have a Fairfield Message Board Get-Together. If Posters were to meet at the Beechmont Tavern at 5:30-6:00PM it might be pretty cool. If I can get a good quorum of people that can committ to this, I can also publicize it to Season Ticket Holders, 6th Man Members, and even try to email people from the NY and Fairfield County Alumni Clubs.

Respond to this post if you are going to the game and are interested. Nothing Formal, just meet in the Bar at 5:30-6:00PM. Those of you that want to eat first can get food at the Beechmont. The Beechmont is right across the street from Iona..... you can probably park at Iona and walk there

At Fordham and Rider we had great support, and it almost felt like a home game. I know the team appreciated it. Having a few hundred fans at Iona, could make a difference. I got the following info from Fairfield on Tickets

If you are interested in attending the men's basketball game at Iona this
Saturday, January 18th at 7:30 pm,
here is how you can get tickets:

Day of Game:
Iona Box Office
Opens one hour prior to the game
$10.00 adult
$5.00 youth (13 and under)

Prior to the Game:
TicketMaster
(212) 307-7171

I will be in New Rochelle on Saturday and I will be dragging along one or two other loyal fans. Not sure if I can get to the tavern, but will let you know if I can. If not I will defintely see all you posters at the game.

I would like to go. Are the Iona students back for second semester? Is there any danger this game could sell out? Is it safe to walk up to the box office at game time and get tickets?

Enquiring minds want to know...

The answer to the first question is that Iona starts 2nd semester on Jan 21st.

Guy, what are the chances of this game being a sellout?????? What is the Capacity of Mulcahy?????

Mulcahy's official capacity is 2611, but they can get more than that in there. Will it sell out? Depends on how many Fairfield fans come down, I guess. I'd think the only two games we're locks to sell out are Siena and Manhattan, with Fairfield on the brink.

I would just try to get there by 7 if I were you guys. If you do that, you shouldn't have a problem. Get there 7:15 or later and you might be cutting it close.

Hell yeah... There should be a few of us heading up from NYC (we're always the group that, for some reason, gets seated as far away from the Fairfield contingent as humanly possible...) At press time, my guesstimate is 6 of us...and we really really like the taste of beer (no offense free_beer)
