For most of my younger years I was a Kennedy Democrat. There are some Republicans I could never support, however, there have been no Democrats since Bill Clinton that I could support. When I taught at Niagara and Michigan, I developed "critical thinkers". I would divide my classes into two sections and have the kids debate the issues; then I would juxtaposition the class' and have the kids defend the opposite matters they had either just supported or argued against. The students loved it ! They were taught not to just regurgitate what I taught them, but to really think for themselves and become intellectually astute both philosophically, and idealogically. AT this point there are a great many people who have been paying on their loans for decades and still owe more than they originally borrowed. They will never pay off those loans and they are not able to be discharged in bankruptcy or otherwise negotiated. The have little or no credit but fuck em right? If that had been the case there would have been a fire fight. There are still people to this day who are being illegally held on misdemeanor or violation charges. They all admired him, including Oprah, Whoopi, almost all of the actors and celebrities hung out with him. But as soon as he ran, not as a Democrat but as a conservative, they all turned on him.
