If anyone thinks any public school is accomplishing more than Niagara with less resources , one is mistaken. The bureaucracy and monies spent at Public institutions means more bodies to many tasks relegated to only 1-2 individuals at a college like Niagara. Please don’t complain constantly unless you contribute something to make positive change happen.

State Budget
State Budget
Texas High School Football? Athletics are a part of the culture in Texas which is why they produce the athletes they do. Not even a comparison.

They don’t care, that’s what you’re missing. And the staff departure has been evident of that. JJM only cares about Basketball and the rest aren’t set up financially to win. Too many friends who sit on the board who aren’t thinking big enough and believe it’s good enough. The sooner the board is improved and decides that new leadership is necessary, the better off it’ll be. Until then, people like Niagara’s SID are doing the best they can with what they have, which is very little. How Vincentian.

NU has actually done better overall with success in it's sports teams. The Commissioners Cup standings reflect that.

However, when you make drastic cuts without firing teachers and affecting other areas vitally necessary, it's going to hit somewhere. Simon does not have the budget to hire extra support staff, although I know it's important to keep those interested informed on the doings of each team and getting the information out there.

Other than vetting Pat Beilein properly, because people told me that PB's history was not exactly secret. I think Simon has done a very good job overall for his years of service to NU. As a matter of fact I KNOW he has.

that I was not made aware of the comings and goings of NU sports because of illness and having to remain a bit distant from the neighborhood, but the longer I live and still talk here and there to insiders, the more I understand how hard it is to win the Indy 500 on a tricycle, and I can't find too much to dump on Simon's porch.

Very appreciate your concern. Just was advised to stay away from crowds during the last couple of years due to Covid by my doctors. I will be back at most of the games this season. With ESPN+, I actually watched 95% of ALL their games both home and on the road. I'm still all in! Just not always in the building.

Thanks again for the thoughts, RCM...
