» Coming off a thrilling 69-68 Friday night win over Siena inside the Gallagher Center, the Purple Eagles will turn their attention to MAAC newcomer Merrimack on Sunday, Dec. 8.
» The meeting between Niagara and the Warriors will be the first between the two programs.
» Four Purple Eagles recorded double-digit points in the win over Siena, including a game-high 17 from Justice Smith. Olumide Adelodun and Jaeden Marshall added 13 points apiece, and Jhaylon Marshall tallied 12 points.
» Smith also led Niagara with a season-high seven rebounds and four assists. He has led NU in both categories at least twice this season.
» The Niagara bench, which accounted for 41 of the team’s 69 points against Siena, ranks second in the MAAC with 25.44 points per game.
» Niagara ranks third in the league in field goal percentage (43.8) and 3-point percentage (35.1).
» NU’s 8.9 three-pointers made per game is third-most in the MAAC this season.
» After making six free throws on Friday, Jaeden Marshall moves into 12th in the MAAC with a 75.7 percent mark at the charity stripe.
» Niagara duo Olumide Adelodun and Jahari Williamson are averaging 12.8 and 11.9 points per game, respectively, to pace the Purple Eagle offense.
» Williamson is third in the league with a 3-point field goal percentage of 44.4 percent. He has made 2.67 threes per game–which ranks fifth in the MAAC.
» Adelodun is also Niagara’s leading rebounder at 6.1 caroms per contest, which ranks 12th in the league.
» The four last league games, including MAAC tournament games, for Niagara have been decided by six points or fewer.
» Last season, 10 of Niagara’s 20 league games were decided by six or fewer points.

Niagara is not ready to play today and that's on Paulus. No excuses. Merrimack barely beat Canisius, which may be the worst team in the country. I saw Niagara battle Michigan State for 21 minutes, even lead that game in the 1st half, and only trailed by 4 points early in the 2nd half of that game. And that was an away game.

I can accept a loss when there is a genuine effort, but this is UNEXCUSEABLE !

Well to make my original point , we outscored them in the 2nd half. If NU had played the 1st half as well or as better than the 2nd half, we would have won.

NO EXCUSES !
