First, in today's political environment, things can change rapidly. With that said, for now, you have to comply with Title IX in several ways:
-Opportunity - Demonstrating that you are meeting the needs of female students (varsity, club sports, intramurals, etc.)
-Demonstrating expansion of female opportunities
-Proportionality - if you are 60/40 female to male, you have to have that same ratio of opportunities (60% female athletes, 40% male athletes)
As for the WBB search, the leading candidate is a Niagara WBB alumna. The search is taking a long time, but they aren't cutting the program. I believe the MAAC requires certain core programs, and Women's Basketball is one of them.
