As far as the media goes... I always find it fascinating what stories they broadcast and the ones they just drop. There are some stories that as soon as they find out there was no drama involved (i.e. no terrorist plot)it remains unheard. I know someone that did their doctoral dissertation on what popular murder/mystery books can tell us about people in our country. I think a lot. Maybe more than the news can ever show.
