He tried a smile, but it didn't come out quite right, and so he just kissed up from her pulse to her jaw, one hand raising to curl around the other side of her neck, his eyes lightly shut for a moment. Despite the turmoil that had surrounded his life the past few weeks, he was trying not to be completely self-centered, and so just took a few moments to say a proper hello to her - finishing up with a warm, lingering kiss to her lips, and then just rested his forehead gently against hers. "They're kicking me out of the band if I don't quit using." She let out a soft breath at his words, shifting to run her hand down his arm and entwine their fingers together. She headed over to the couch, sitting down, letting the pup - who was overly fond of Gavin even if Gavin was fond of him - climb onto her boyfriends lap and curl up there. She was quiet for a moment, thinking that over as she drew one knee up to her chest, resting her head on it as she gazed at him. "They are just worried about you..."
