 This was being kicked around on a Talk-radio show today (8 October '02). Some drug-testing company now claims to have a reliable Tinkle-test for "Demon Tobacco." Government Schools, eager to teach the kiddies they can't hide diddly from Almighty Mother Government, are scarfing it up as fast as they can divert Taxpayers' money to buy it. 'Thaa Law Is Thaa Law Because It's A Law Because Thaa Law Is Thaa Law,' saith the Statist Paradigm (Well... it is, when it's a law beloved to Statists, anyway).

So, what's the big deal? The only way to ensure that Little Johnny (and Little Susie) are giving it up themselves--not giving-up somebody else's--is for somebody to watch, as the child renders unto Caesar. If you aren't into that, don't worry; someone will be up for watching your kid stand (or sit) and deliver.

Frankly, IMHO this is another of those winds that only blows *some* ill. Start teaching the kiddies what Statists want, young enough--and all sorts of undefined results are ensured. The result is not likely to be a generation of sheeple so obedient they truly believe no bodily function is private if Almighty Govt wants to peek. So, (typewranting as one with no direct descendants in the line of fire) I say "Let the games begin." You who have children IN GovtSchools may have different points of view, I suspect. RKBA!
