Subject: No Brain = No Mind

1. "Mind" is essentially experiential.

2. Thus, if mind is independent from the material brain, at least some sort of experience should obtain independent of the brain's neural activity.

3. Certain classes of anesthetic (but not all), by acting on the brain's neural circuitry, completely shut down any and all kinds of experiential awareness.

4. But then by (3), experience is completely dependent upon the existence of certain physical conditions in the brain.

5. Therefore, experience being the hallmark of mind, mind cannot be independent from the material processes of the brain.
