Is there no openness to new experiences? New expressions of the Divine? Is not the wheel of the yugas constantly turning? Is not God constantly creating? Can we be so presumptuous as to think that all that has been experienced is all that can ever be experienced? If that were the case, I think God would be bored and take his toys and go home. "Evernew" is the essence of the turning of the wheel of consciousness and light. "No more new" is the essence of dogma and religion. God moves however and through whomever He chooses. If our hearts are open, we can feel it. If our hearts are closed, we are stuck with meaningless rituals.
As far as my suggestion about contacting people who have practiced what Norman Paulsen is teaching, obviously the results could be inconclusive. But if, on the other hand, some of those people are experiencing significant growth, then I would say use what seems to actually work ... and there is no better proof of the validity of any teaching other than in the lives of those who have tried it sincerely. Is virtue manifesting in their lives? Are they more aware of God's presence than they were before. Is this awareness increasing in a noticeable way? So, obviously people are entitled to, or trapped by, their opinions, but it sure makes sense to me to check out any path that might offer the opportunity to realize the heart's desire to know its Creator. I'll pursue it myself and welcome any others to explore it, as well.
