The honesty is VERY refreshing. I personally have never read anything in my SRF lesson or in any SRF publication that suggests following a dogmatic or cult lifestyle. Yogananda did not give us a list of rules nor did he say "worship me" or join this or that organization.
In my view his central theme was to re-establish our lost relationship with God, using meditation and devotion. Once we begin to realize our true divine nature, we begin to use our intuitive powers to determine what is "right" behavior. And this varies from person to person. This idea of all of Yognanada's followers looking alike and in agreemement with every issue is so unrealistic.
