I believe one of the main reasons that so many people have their problems with SRF is that it has become a place for certain kinds of people. A church of the devoted, a place for people who want to worship Yogananda, enjoy the community spirit, preferably for those with a Christian background.

My how they can cry and sing...but it's not everyone's bag. Those who merely want some sober yogic advice for their sadhana are not necessarily at the right address. It depends on the personality.

SRF is not bad. It is a nice place. But the atmosphere can be really stale and somewhat narrow. For some people it can be sickening indeed.

And if you don't own a cat I suggest not to enter their semi-official message board.
