A team led by businessman Ian Andrew Lee, along with communications and personality development specialist Adrian Raymond, international fashion photographer Calvin French and model/businesswoman Leah Mari Guevara has been awarded the Miss Universe franchise for Trinidad and Tobago. Former National Director Peter Elias will be a consultant to the newly formed group with official Miss Universe hairstylist Ashvin Bally serving as technical advisor.
The new Miss Trinidad and Tobago will be crowned on November 8, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad and will represent the country at the 2010 Miss Universe pageant.
Screening for the competition will be held Sunday October 18 at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad from 9 am.
Following are requirements for women wanting to take part in the competition:
1. Contestant must be a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago and must have resided in country as her permanent and primary residence.
2. Contestant must be at least 18 years of age and under 27 years of age as of February 1, 2010.
3. Contestant must never have been married nor ever have given birth to a child, nor be a parent.
4. Contestant must bring a swimsuit of her choice and a pair of open toed high heel shoes to the screening.
