...you are so correct! If we have to put a young lady in a gown with alot of material she has to be tall for us to even think she will have a change of making a great impact. For Maggie at MU05-I believe this gown was totally wrong. If I had to think of the best gown that every embodied T&T it would be this gown but for me it was not pageant appropriate-for her entire walk during the finals I was looking at her feet and the long train of the gown wondering if she would trip. How the heck then could the judges "see" Maggie if we Trinis who are accustomed, with the outlandish, flashy and unsual, can't even focus on the lady-she was out of the top 10 the minute I realized how much material was in the train. I hope we never see that nonsense again.
Nevertheless, Maggie nailed her walk-if it was really the "walk" and how well the lady "carries the gown" then Maggie should have been top 5 easily in EG but she was 14th overall-while both do contribute to the score-most importantly I think the judges need to see how beautiful and confident the LADY looks in it and Maggie's gown was all all about the 8ft train of fabric than her.

yes, Maggie worked that gown like crazy right. And so much material and she didnt even trip..She had an amazing walk. She is one of my fav Miss Tnt`s (of recent times) along with Margot and Faye (ok and Heidi and Alexia too....Ok i love ALL our Miss tnts). But this gown was just wrong for the finals. Ditto about Faye`s gown. I dont think it was ugly, as folks do, she also carried it well....but I think she needed a more va-va-voom! look.
Maybe we should take the same route as Venezuela and go for simple, classic gowns that fit the body right. I mean this seems to work for us...(Wendy or Danielle for example).
