Congratulations to Gabby again on a job well done. The only question is what is the future for other Miss T&Ts?. Peter Elias has announced that this was his last pageant. This is truly a major disappointing thing to hear. He has done so well with the promotion of T&T and the grooming of each girl that has represented T&T.
While I understand his frustration. I hope that he somehow reconsiders resigning and continue the great job that he is doing. This will be a great lost for T&T if he is no longer a part of the franchise.
I dont understand why the government has not been continuously supportive financially to PE&A. That is a huge let down. The girls that are sent to these pageants are representing T&T and promoting it to the world in a positive light. One will think that the government will want to be a part of this continuously. PE&A should not have to be asking everytime for support. It should be readily available when they need it.
My hope is that Peter elias decides to stay on and do it for his country and the people that supports him and the girls that so proudly represents T&T on the world stage. I can not imagine what the future of Miss T&T will look like without the training and development expertise of PE&A. Then, the other question is. Will there even be another Miss Trinidad and Tobago?. If there is and there is another franchise holder, I hope they can do and continue the great job PE&A has done for so many years.

Unless the ministry gives in writing a legally binding agreement of financial support then I think Peter Elias and Associates should not reconsider. Will we be going to MU09? I am already concerned that if we even make it to MW09, we don't end up with another Heidi Rostant-phenomenal beuaty queen-horrible interview!
The time for begging is over. Peter Elias and Assoicates is a world-class organization-sorry I can't say the same for the T&T government-vision 20/20 is apparently nobody knows about our country outside of the Caribbean and Venezuela. I hope the ministry is totally embarrassed by PE&A's announcement (as they should rightfully be).

Dont you all get it? Hats off to PE&A but people dont understand the government does not care! We have too much oil, gas and other such natural resources...why spend time trying to market Trinidad and Tobago...this is to me what the government thinks and its stupid. Stupid because these resources are not renewable and we just shouldnt just depend on this...I dont know who or what is in charge of marketing Trinidad & Tobago, but whoever is surely needs to get a wake up call...This is good marketing going down the drain, like everything else in this once paradise. They do not care! I support PE&A 100% because this is the only way sometimes...Look at the Soca Warriors and many other TnT representatives...there is always some confusion in terms of gov't spending...yet they spend spend spend! I'm just so glad I dont have to live here anymore but VERY much more sad that I CAN'T!

I'm no gov't basher...but people who deserve a bashing will get one! I am so fed up with their talk about private sector funding...These people need to understand...TnT is NO VENEZUELA (a pageant fanatic country!) Its just not part of our culture...why then should u depend on private citizens to do the job of the public sector...I.E. if these pageants are seen as a tool for marketing...WHO THEN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MARKETING TRINIDAD & TOBAGO????
