We all know she does not have the elongated skinny body MU likes but my gosh, she whipped that body into something da#m fine and sexy. Truly, if the SS segment was about physical fitness and sex appeal Gabby would be top 5 hands down. Her abs rocked that stage and yes, the red lipstick with the red backdrop was a little too much but remember she had to wear the same makeup for the EG segment - the make-up people were not going to start afresh after the SS round - only touch-ups! For me she was easily top 15 in SS. The gown however was a total downfall. After seeing her in all those red outfits for the last 2 months I thought they would have gone with a different color -gold or a almost skintone gown with a gold-brown undertone. I am fine with the fact that they chose red, but why the heck put her banging body in a totally DATED gown with absolutely no forethough of how her waistline disappeared. We may have changed pageant teams sice 2008 but BOTH Anya and Gabby got screwed in the EG - If someone from the pageant team is reading this - take a 2nd look at the freakin' white prelim interview outfit Gabby wore- I saw shoulders, breasts, a very slim and impressive waistline and hips - now look at the red gown they got from 20 years ago- the boobs look O.K. buth her wiast and hips look thick and short. My gosh, Gabby is 5'6.5" -WHY THE HEL# MAKE HER LOOK LIKE A HOBBIT? At the end of the day, Mr Lee has to learn from this mistake. We did not need an elaborate gown for Gabby- we just needed one that worked well to highlight her great body. If they had chosen a simple red fitted gown with some minimal editing to make it current she could have knocked the ball out of the ballpark for the prelims. Why handicap her? This is a gown you could probably competet againt 15 in and hope to scrape by but for 88 other women to be competing against-you just lost the ball game. I am just hoping Gabby is one of MUorg's picks. In conclusion, I would not be surprised either way on 12th Sept.- Gabby has one of the top SS bodies and would not look out of place in the top 8 at least.
