Anya's moment has come and gone with the final and I am pretty sure we are all going to keep talking about her for a while but by weekend we need to kick of Gabby's support. MW is literally right around the corner-about a month and a half b/4 Gabby will be leaving for Europe to compete. Peter Elias, Alyson, Adrian, Bobby and Calvin French need to get together and discuss what they are going to do for the MT&TU2009 selection process PRONTO-I don't care if it sounds a bit insensitive but they really need to determine what went wrong. We had the right girl and the right team. (Based on what took place this year they only have one possible call back for the upcoming pageant-MAKEDA O'NEIL (and they need to tell her to grow her freakin' hair out and how to put on pageant appropriate make-up)-Neither June nor Katrina should go to MU! In my opinion they need to get a couple people not necessarily on the team but to go over what the heck our reps are going to be wearing for the PRELIMINARIES and how our girl walks. Let's be totally honest-I was the first pageant fan on this forum to state openly I was standing by Peter when the Cheryl-fiasco broke but even I had to say I was standing by Peter's gown because it was Peter and I have been on this board for years along with C and Maximus when no one else was posting but us 3-What the heck! We all LOVE PETER ELIAS, ADRIAN, ALYSON, CALVIN AND BOBBY-but they need someone on their team who can raise objections. If I was in a position to do so, I would have already called up the pageant company and tried to get involved somehow because I ain't afraid to tell them eh eh! Essentially, they need someone who can and is not afraid to say "NO" or at least raise objections. I love my MT&T reps and my PE&A but come on people we can't be blind supporters. I kept composure with my posts pointing out that Anya's walk was not on-point because she was in Vietnam and could possibly visit the forum-I did not want to distract her at all-I think we all in some part kept that thought at the back of our minds so we very carefully pointed out our critical comments. Now I can openly say that it was probably the worst preliminary walk I have seen by a MT&T at an international SS competition-hence why in one post I asked if Anya was injured/physically hurt in any way. I know Alyson trained Anya for the walk-but what the heck? I could not tell that it was Alyson-only that Anya was definitely following someone's direction. MU2008: Essentially this is what happened in my opinion-->Anya had a ridiculous SS walk; Preliminary gown-totally wrong choice-this is a gown you compete against 9 wiith not 81-PERIOD! So at the end of the day THE STAGE PERFORMANCE EXPERT ALYSON BOMBED! THE GOWN EXPERT PETER ELIAS BOMBED! ADRIAN WAS THE ONLY ONE ON-POINT WHEN IT COUNTED-EVERYONE WHO MET ANYA PERSONALLY ONLY HAD GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT HER. PEOPLE WE DO NOT KNOW EVERYTHING AND AS SOON AS THE PAGEANT COMPANY RECOGNIZES IT WE CAN GROW AND MOVE ON. Nuff said. Just to reiterate-we have a fantastic group of people training our ladies-Peter, Alyson and Adrian are such fantastic people-they invest so much of their time, love and energy into our ladies and we all applaud them. Anya was just a phenomenal rep. but I have to say after the prelim EG and SS, I was never more doubtful about us making the cut. I basically put Anya together with Heidi Rostant-2 ladies who should have been up there in the top 10 at least. P.S. I know this may come across as a strongly worded post to some but I am not angry-but more concerned that PE&A don't just brush it off-they really need to learn and grow from this experience.
