Subject: I talked to Paul today about the Evadale track....Please click here to read.

Well, today I had a nice talk with Paul. First off, let me say that Paul has no bad feelings toward anyone. He was able to fulfill a dream he has had all of his adult life. Without getting into a word for word description, Paul and Mike have different feelings on the way things need to be done at Evadale. And Paul felt that it was in his best interest to step down. Paul also told me that the Bruce’s plan on continuing to make improvements. There would have been more lights up this week if it had not been for the 2 storms that blew throughout in the Gulf. The Bruce’s will also be making more improvements when they shut down for the winter. Paul and I were in complete agreement that we hope all the racers will continue to support the Evadale drag strip. Paul said he has put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into that track and he would hate to see it close down. And that he doubts very seriously if it will close. I for one will continue to go out there and watch and enjoy the local drag racing scene. And when my Camaro is done, race it as many times as I can make it back up to the starting line. We have something very nice locally now. Lets not ruin it.
