Nodding once, the young woman moves from her seat and through a door behind the desk, returning a moment later and leaving the door ajar as she clicks in a few commands to the computor, listens for a moment then raises her gaze to the woman standing before her.
"Right this way please."
She again turns to the door behind the desk, leading the way briskly down a carpeted hall. Opening another door at the very end of the corridor reveals a small deserted meeting room, the only furniture within an elongated oval table surrounded by cushy chairs.
"You will be undisturbed here, I will relay the com link to this room."
She places a small earpiece, usually worn by communications officers, on the table with a click.
"If you want a more private conversation, just place this in your ear and press it once.. it will transfer the link from the entire room to just the earpiece."
Smiling lightly, she turns away. The door slides quietly shut behind her and in a few moments the familiar crackle of a com connection fills the room...
