It takes him a painfully long time to lift himself up between the hand bars in the cubical and turn on the shower. The water is cold and makes his wounds sting, but it brings some relief from the strain of holding himself up. The blood runs off him in small rivers and drains away down the shower drain. He is more weak than he would admit to anyone, even himself, and his arms shudder under the strain of holding him in place... but still he stands.
