Its true the OT is filled with story's of murder for and by God.
Its my opinion that Abraham didn't pass the test when he
said yes to killing AND to do so would be to break the
commandment thou shall not kill.

What kind of God would give a commandment and then
ask you to break it? For that matter what kind of God
doesn't even keep his own commandments? Do as I
say but not as I do? I don't think so!

But I do think there is a lesson in the story of Abraham
and in the concept of hell. I believe they are there so
that we will learn a love for each other so great that
we would say no to even God for that love.

No... I would not kill for God because it goes against
my heart, and my believe in love.

Better?

It wouldn't be the first time I said no to God ;)
