^In the distance, a cloud of dust rises, and soon a horse and rider take shape. A moment later, the woman reins in the mare, sliping gracefuly off. With fluid movements, she moves into the oasis, the mare trailing after. She steps before Kafka, still unreconizable behind the veil. Slowly, she pulls away the veil, her face showing fully. She smiles at him.^ "Hello, Kafka. It's been a while, hasn't it?" ^She keeps on smiling, but her eyes are quizical, as if wondering if he will speak to her after she had left them in need...^
