My neice informed me of the XF movie the other night. Finally I"m here to hear all of your opinions. hmmmm where do I start?

I am really excited about an XF movie prospect but along with others really will have to see it done properly or not at all. Big budget if they want but no big star. Big stars make us remember that XF isn't real. I like to see a movie that's real. Xf was real and is real and I want it to maintain that realism. Perhaps they want to attract new audiences and get away from that purely XF feel but I'd be disappointed if they roped in some supposed big gun. Although I wouldn't say no to Orlando Bloom. ;-)

As for Gilly not being in it. There is no way that CC would even dream of doing an XF movie without Scully. It's all in, or no movie as far as I'm concerned. I don't like the idea of a prequel either. I'd like to see it take up from a real time point of view with Mulder and Scully being as they are now, ......3 / 4yrs after doing a runner. Hiding out in some hick town with mundane jobs perhaps. Then Something happens and they are tracked down by SKinner to save the world again. I want to see them striding down that corridor again in the flash armani suits and the swish hair styles. Bring them back in full force for a creeepy and action packed story that will have us all on the edge of our seats as well as biting our knuckes and jumping out of our skins. Can CC pull that off? Probably not. But it would be good. Have them as they are now. Together in everyway, as devoted to eachtoher as ever and working together like they always have. Dog and Mon can be in it too. I'd like to see Jummy and Yves. In fact I'd like to think it has been those two who have kept M and S out of site and alive all these yrs. Fake id's etc.

But Islandgirl. I don't know if I want to see a steamy R rated love scene. Actually I'd like the movie to be along the lines of the first one....one that my kids can watch and enjoy as they do the first. I have never been one to need that overt physicality between M and S. My thing was always that I wanted to see evidence of involvement...eg the clarification of William's paternity.And a bit of affection in the right place etc.

I hope they put aside enough money for the extra physio and chiropractic treatment for their aging stars as they will be quite long in the tooth by the time the movie comes out. Having just turned 40 last week I tend to see M and S as quite youthful but really they aren't. They are entering the old crock department so CC had better get a move on with that script and break out the Doris Day lense for the camera.
