Minor touches

What are some minor touches that you've enjoyed about XF over the years? I'm not talking about big, major
things that made you love the show -- like the MSR or the creepshow atmosphere -- just little things that made you say "hey, that's nice!"
One thing I liked was that Maggie Scully seems to only be about 22-25 years older than her daughter. In *SO* many TV shows and movies, they give a character in her early 30s (the age Scully was supposed to be when we first met Maggie) a mother of 70 or so. While I'll certainly concede that it's possible for there to be an age difference of 40 years between a mother and daughter, I think an age difference of 25 years or less is more likely. . . especially when the mother is a Catholic who had her kids in the 1960s; woman of that era and that religion tended to marry and start their families young.
