and while that show was fantasy versus conspiracy and intrigue, some parts were very similar. The medical experimentation storyline was there in that Vincent was the result of a medical experiment. The romance was one that took a long time to happen and did end in a baby which wasn't perfectly "human."
I used to watch some of Night Stalker but don't remember it well enough to compare to XFiles.
