Subject: So what sdo you think will replace XF. . .

in Fox's Sunday night lineup next fall? They probably won't make this decision for months yet, but here are what I consider the strongest possibilities:
1.) "Boston Public" - simply put, as Fox's highest-rated drama for the past two seasons, this show has "earned" the right to the network's cushiest timeslot, the one immediately after "The Simpsons" and "Malcolm in the Middle". Why it might not happen: "Boston Public" currently props up the faltering "Ally McBeal" on Monday nights. Moving "BP" would probably lead to a steep decline in "Ally's" ratings.
2.) "Bernie Mac" - this is the network's highest rated new show and one that contains the same brand of irreverent comedy as "The Simpsons" and "Malcolm". By programming all comedies on a night when the other networks run dramas and movies, Fox could be a ratings winner. Why it might not happen: "Bernie" is only a half-hour show. That would leave the nextwork scrambling to find something to fill those extra 30 minutes.
3.) Something completely new - Fox has a bad habit of coming up with these new shows (i.e. "Dark Angel" last season and "24" this year) that generate a lot of "buzz" and critical acclaim, but then sticking them in "can't win" time slots. Maybe next fall they'll just give their "best" new show their best time slot.
