I think getting to spend more time with her daughter was a private agreement between GA and CC. This really has nothing to do with resigning for Season 9 and if GA really felt her daughter was being neglected she could easily take a few years off and not work at all. She certainly has enough money. The fact that she seems to compare her situation with an every day working stiff is ridiculous.

In a recent LA Times article she was quoted as admitting that sigining for season 9 was "pure politics". She seemed to have this overwhelming need to compete with DD. I think she deserves to make as much as him now for this role but she shouldn't try to make it sound like she's being forced to do something she doesn't want to do.
