I don't really think Gillian feels she needs to compete with David. But I do think she feels she needs to look out for her and Piper's best interest. And more money and more time would most likely fall into that category.

Yes, she's making quite a lot right now. But to take a couple years off... in this business... if you're out of sight for a year or two, you could very well be out of mind and out of a career by the time you decide to start working again.

I don't see it as whining. I just see it the same way I did when David was saying much the same thing. It's time to move on. And, while she will honor her contract, she hopes she's not put in the position where she'll have to.
