What I don't understand about the bias against older actresses is that so many of the younger ones are just plain airheads. There are a few decent ones who can play a more than one character type, but for the most part all I see is the same sort of goofy character over and over again. It gets really boring to say the least.

One would think that the older actress would be able to play a wider range of characters with more depth and emotion. Now Dakota Fanning (I think that's how it's spelled) is another story but she's rather young. I think she would make a good character in the new movie--if anybody ever gets a script written that is.
