that while many of the actors and writers are well paid, many are not and need the steady work as they don't have any of the royalties coming in. The networks are supposedly going to respond with more "reality" shows and more game shows. What a pity as I don't watch any of these dumb "reality" shows. I have a stack of books ready to read when this does happen. Did you read about Tiger Woods getting fined for shooting commercials during the strike? Apparently he wasn't aware of or didn't understand what was going on. He belongs to SAG and that is who fined him. I can't blame them for going on strike--the only thing is that if they are on strike, there isn't going to be that much work for other crew members as well. It's like a ripple effect and given what it costs to live, pay rent, etc. I really have to feel sorry for those people who are at the bottom of the pile so to speak.
