Every interview I have ever read with DD has had him expressing a desire to continue the role of Mulder in an XF movie series. He likes the character; he was just tired of the demands a weekly TV series made on his time. So I'm sure the movie part is true. I hope that if they do a ninth season of XF, he's in at least half of the episodes.
Maybe they can schedule 22 eps; with 11 Mulderless ones, five Mulderlite ones and six fully-involved Mulder ones. Then, if they have to go down to 14-16 eps because of the writers/actors strikes, they can cut out some of the Mulderless ones.
