Subject: No more seasons

I did have an idea for this over on the Mulder and Scully board. I can't remember which post this is on. I think the one that says "good idea." That would be the only way I would continue to watch more seasons.

I don't want more seasons. I want movies. If they continue with seasons and then movies, even if fans want to see the old M and S back on the big screen, they would be just that.........OLD!!!!DD would be mid 40's before the first movie came to air. GA would be about 40. I know these two look good and will still at any age but hey, the old arthritics could give way during the physical moments. I mean the running jumping stuff. I know Harrison Ford and Pierce Brosnan are still doing this and they are definitely no spring chickens but I do think that we need to see youngish M and S on the big screen again before they really hit middle age. I mean, CC loves to do all those really close up shots where you can only see an eye, nose , mouth and no hair so .......I don't think I need to paint everyone a picture here.

I say, can XF at the end of S8 and get on with an immediate movie. Do a movie every two years for the next 10 years. And then finish the lot. The last movie could be a great one with some fantastic 10 year old kid who can do a heap of cool stuff with his/her mind etc. There could even be a little sibling snuck in between movies to surprise us in Movie number 3 or something. At the end of the last movie when the 10 year old kid saves the world, they can all live happily ever after and we never ever see them again. We can be just left with the knowledge [through maybe a post script] that The Mulder family are living happily and the world is free from alien invasion. [at which point we can see a huge space ship looming through space with the earth in the far distance. Then the credits can roll to a stupendous rendition of the XF theme song using full orchestra and we will all cry with joy , happiness and relief that this part of our lives is over for good and we will all look around and be marvelled at how much has changed in our communities during the past 18 years, whilst we have had our heads stuck in the universe That **WAS** The X Files!!!!

Stardoe, rattling on like an imbecile.
