As we didn't live in urbania. We lived in the sticks so we had deserted country road kinds of stories. One was the blue light which was often seen by kids going home from our local drive- in. Now you must realise that this drive -in was out in the bush and the road home was totally surrounded in bush. Whoever saw the blue light amongst the bushes would have something bad happen or just disappear. Some kids used to go on expeditions into the bush at night to find this blue light.[or they said they did] You can be sure that I was not one of them. To this day I still don't know if it was true or not.

Also there was the story about the girl and her boyfriend who were driving home from somewhere and their car broke down [on a bush road again] and the boy got out to fix the car and after a while the girl wondered where he was. Then she heard this bouncing sound on the roof of the car. She got out and there was *something*[what ever takes your fancy] bouncing the head of her boyfriend on the roof of the car. There were others similar. That one was said to have been true and it happened....as do all outrageous things....in America. When we were kids....all those things happened in America. Made it more believable coz everybody knew that stuff never happened here. Except for the blue light that is. That was a local thing. :-)

I asked my hubby about the head in the fish and he said he did read about it a while back. Could have been while we were on holidays and that is why I must have missed it.
