Subject: Classic slumber party stories!

That one you told about the couple in the car sounds like one of the most popular stories we used to tell at slumber parties when I was a kid. Except in ours the girl heard a scratching sound and she thought it was a telephone wire that had fallen and was scratching against the roof of the car. It turned out to be the fingernails of her boyfriend who was hanging dead from the pole. And I think the killer was in the back seat! AHHHH! Something like that! I doubt if its true since it seems to have surfaced on two continents. But that one was always looked on as just a ghost story to tell. The other biggies were the babysitter/killer in the house stories.

That blue light one is pretty cool. We had other popular things that went around that everyone believed but weren't necessarily horror stories. One of the most poopular ones when I was growing up was the Kentucky Fried Rat story (about a rat being found in Kentucky Fried Chicken). I think it may have hurt their business. I know I wouldn't eat there anymore for the longest time!
