No he's not. They're both actors. It's their job to make us believe the character they portray and DD had done that. Now he's gets a chance to do other characters and make us believe him.

Have you seen Kalifornia, or The Red Shoe Diaries, how about Beethoven? Mulder is just the charactor he has played the longest, I saw Return To Me and didn't see an iota of Mulder in Bob Ruelan. I think his continuance of his movie career will be succussful and I don't think he should exclude playing Mulder on the screen. He owns Mulder and it would be a delight to watch the charactor change with time.

If indeed he thinks he been typed, and I don't believe he has, as Mulder, it's up to him the prove everybody wrong. He has the talent and intelligence to bring any charactor to life. He should go out on a limb, do some off beat things a la Nicholas Gage.

Just some thoughts.
