I think the problem with the last two seasons was that 1. they moved to California, 2. CC had his finger in too many other pies 3. new writers who didn't know much about the show. 4. letting the new writers write too many shows.

Although, looking back I think the last two seasons were fairly good compared to all of the other shows on TV. I enjoyed them but I think the absence of many CC driven Myth eps took its toll.

I too have confidence that CC will keep the show on a really fast and exciting track this season. I think that seeing as he is kind of forced to stay with it, he will give his all to maintaining the quality or even improving it. I am hoping, and maybe he is too, that if he gives Mulder some decent grunt this season, then DD will come back next season. I certainly hope so. I think DD has not quite cut the apron strings. I hope not.

As for the relationship between all the Fox network/studios etc. They are all a part of a huge media conglomerate called News Corp [of which yours truely is a minor shareholder] Rupert Murdoch is the head honcho. They pay dividends in the form of shares rather than money but the share price keeps going up and up. Hey , says Stardoe, lets have 12 XF seasons and 10 movies. Lets have XF the next generation and the next and the next.

Stardoe, rubbing her greedy little hands together.
