Subject: just going back to the tv thing

i think its unfair to say that americans don't understand irony, or don't get alot of humour. i always think the simpsons has a brilliant humour, and some very subtle jokes. i do agree that our sense of humour is different, but there are many tv shows that are successful in each others countries.

i do love british comedy myself though stardoe. not that i'm biased or anything! but we have some great stuff.

oh, and we get the croc bloke too! isn't he just great?!! our discovery channel devotes nights to him and stuff. my brother's a huge fan. and talking of australia, i never understand why neighbours and home and away are so successful. i mean they're quite frankly shockingly appalling but absolutely addictive. i cannot stop watching them!

does anybody know where duck is from? i'd love to know which country slags the english off so much! i thought you aussie's were supposed to do that!

onto TXF, i know that in the beginning, CC didn't want to 'go' into the whole outside work thing. but i agree, i think that after 7 years he's surely got to the point where it wouldn't really affect the show that much, in terms of what its trying to do. i'm not saying flood the eps with what mulder and scully do in their free time, but its kinda worrying sometimes that when we do see little bits of them outside work, they seem so lonely and without a life. (why am i worrying - they're not real!) well, maybe with DD not being in many eps next season, CC will be forced into giving us eps with skinner, TLG, and dare i say krycek? please CC?! here's hoping! ;)

cvl :)
