Subject: I was puzzled about the disk too

I think one of my favorite things was seeing the Gunmen in those disguises! Especially punk rocker Byers! I didn't realize that they were disguised as each other though. Not too creative, or is it? ;-)

We just had this ep rerun and I liked it even more this time. It amazed me just how well William B. Davis knows the characters and the history of the show. In particular when CSM asks Scully when she trusted Mulder and Scully says she always trusted him and CSM said no, think back. Well CSM is right! I know Mulder definately did not trust Scully in the beginning and Scully must have had her reservations about that wacky Fox in the beginning too.

I think WBD probably knows the show better than most of the writers and I really wish he would write more instead of them bringing these outsiders who really have no clue about Mulder and Scully and the show's mythology.

I thought the scene where Scully woke up in her PJs and learned that CSM was the one who put her to bed and changed her clothes was weird. Sculy just dismissed it after his explanation. I mean wouldn't she be really creeped out by that?!

I'm with duck and I didn't understand why CSM would throw the disk away after all that trouble. I also didn't get why Scully handed to him after getting it from Cobra. She should have hung onto it.

I don't think that many people have died in Scully's apartment though have there? And why hasn't she moved? Some people wondered why Mulder would need the super to open the door for him since he should have a key. Maybe she changed the locks after Donnie Pfaster, not that he could come back or anything, or maybe Mulder really wanted to talk to the building super and this was an excuse.

Yes CSM playing pop psychologist about Scully and men certainly was interesting. But it fits in with how he's been all along. He said he's been watching the for years and we know that since the very beginning. Makes you think there's a lot more to that and it also makes you wonder if there weren't more specific reasons why Scully and Mulder were partnered.

I thought it said a lot the way CSM was talking about having such control over Scully, and Mulder too. It wasn't so much that he'd saved her life, but that he could save her life, take her life and basically do whatever he wanted. He likes that power over them like he's their puppetmaster.

I loved the Mulder scenes too. :-) Poor Mulder. A lot of people thought that Mulder had no right to be upset with Scully because of all the times he's ditched her in the past but this was different. Things have changed between them and I think he felt they'd gotten past the point of hiding things from each other. She should know better than to go off with the CSM. I don't think he was upset so much because she kept it from him though, but because he was so worried for her safety and couldn't believe she would trust Bad Guy Number One after all that's happened. I loved those looks they exchanged at the end. Well he wasn't looking at her at all and that was very effective. And she was looking at him like she was asking for forgiveness. She knew she screwed up and that she'd hurt him.

I know a good pic I can put up from this. I think I used it before. But should I put it here or on the Mulder board? (Then I'd have to remove the nekkid DD pic!).
