Good points everyone, but the very worse case scenario for me would be to have another year and someone else play Mulder. I simply could not watch. Can you imagine the farce it would be? GA having to play Scully off someone else as Mulder besides DD would be blasphemy. I would take, grudingly though, another season with Mulder in just a few episodes, but I probably wouldn't watch on a regular basis and would be very unhappy. TXF without Mulder is like sex without a man - it's just not the same.

The decision surely has been made by now about a S8 in order to write and film the finale, and CC & Co just aren't telling anything. Aren't they filming the finale right now? Surely someone is leaking info off the set somewhere. But where?

What am I going to do once the xfiles is over? I've watched from episode one and TXF is a very important "hobby" of mine. It's hard enough getting throught the long summers waiting for a new season. Just to think it's abruptly over - no more XFs is difficult. The movies are too far off for me to think realistically about. Thank goodness we here in the US can live on through you Brits for alittle while longer.
