Subject: Great scenes

I'm glad you enjoyed our archived posts cvl! We did have a bit of a disagreement on this one!

I remember SFP saying she didn't like the diary scene much but I just adored it--and more than the SUZ hug scene (though I would like to view the outtakes I've head about for that).

I think the poignancy of the scene where Mulder stays behind while Scully talks to he nurse brings up two things. Earlier he told Scully he would work the case himself, didn't he? (He was being a bit snotty). And now her he lets Scully take over and help him regarding the most important thing in hs life.
Also as they got closer to the answer I think he was starting to be afraid. Afraid of learning bad things and he was willing to let Scully carry the load a bit. I agree it was a great scene.

I think the reason Mulder was so insistant that Amber Lyn wasn't dead was his own denial. He always gets very emotional about cases with little girls and doesn't like to see them come to harm. He can't accept it and he equates it with Sam. Remember the girl in Oubliette whom he wouldn't accept had drowned? That's why this was such a big deal that he is finally able to accept Sam's death. I thought his behavior about Amber Lyn fit in very well with Mulder's character.

So what was the growing M&S closeness you noticed cvl or is that too obvious a question?

Scully's apartment has become like Grand Central Station! Or I'll say a London tube station so you'll get the joke. Or for Stardoe I'll say um... the Circular Quay?
You'll hear Mulder make a funny comment about this in an upcoming ep. ;-)

Well here certainly is a lot to talk about with these eps which is another reason I have trouble understanding people's dislike. There was so much depth to them.
