I would have loved to have seen the On Golden Pond thing with JA and CP. I really like both of them. I could handle seeing GA and DD together in something else if they were 30 years older as in the case of JA and CP. I'm sure that noone would equate the two OGP characters with Maria and Trapp. I'd like not to see Mulder and Scully in anything that GA and DD might do in the future. I'de rather they never did anything together where they were a couple, or anything together full stop. If we see GA and DD together as a couple I'd like it to be as an aged Mulder and Scully solving paranormal mysteries etc or even as cameos in a younger generation XF movie if that ever happens. I really don't think I could handle seeing them together in any other character. It would definitely spoil the XF feel for me. Noone's acting is that good unless they applied special FX to the actors and made them in to totally different people. But I'd still know it was them. No. I think they should just do their own thing and save the get togethers for XF movies if there are ever any more. That's what I think and that's how I feel about it. I'm sad XF is over and I'd like to retain just a little bit of realism about it and keep a little flame burning back in the nostalgia section of my mind.
