in that romances via television or print all seem to have such difficult times. By that I mean we can't just have a story where the couple can just fall in love, get married and live happily everafter. Now I know that is idealistic but I think it's something nice to think about for a change. All this so-called romantic conflict between two people who love each other gives the impression that this is what intelligent, talented people have to do first before they can be happy. The XFiles, Jag, Friends (which did end ok) and more all have this sort of framework. I suppose the writers need to do that to keep the series going. I watched Jag last week and to be honest with you, could just slap Mac. Harm is too good for her. Maybe that is the new thing to do--not acknowledge a good thing when it comes your way. I'm afraid I was never be able to play that game so I obviously don't "get it."
