her budgie guarded the doorway. Back and forth, back and forth it marched in front of the secret door. Stopping to cock it's head to one side he (or she for I know not which it is) listened intently as it listened for any sort of sound.

Meanwhile back at the Klub, Stardoe listened intently to the Mayor and CW as they discussed the nights events. She watched a tiny monitor implanted into her contact lens and was relieved to see that her little budgie was on duty.

"You know I don't believe that spaceship thing for one little bit" whispered CW to the other two. "Something's not right. I like to stay up late and sew. My sewing room window looks out that direction and I never saw anything and there wasn't anything on my security cameras either."

The Mayor winced as she tried to delicately scratch an itch on the back of her neck. "That stuff you put on those claw marks really works fast Stardoe--just what was it anyhow?"

Smiling confidently Stardoe said "It's made from the world famous Dubbo Dust. Its' particles have remained stable, unaffected by inflation, taxation, and inDUSTrial disputation. Best cure for what ails you and has no additives!"

Both the Mayor and CW stared at her for a moment, shook their heads and resumed their whispered conversation.

"Say, just what are you three talking about?" demanded Kande as she left the Klub window.
