He starts waddling toward the end of the 10 meter platform. About two feet from the edge, he slips and starts spinning around. He falls off and immediately goes into a fetal position. Moments before hitting the water he realizes he's going in head first. He puts his hands over his head just before going into the water. He quickly struggles to the surface and dogpaddles to the side where he is helped out by the diver from France. He hitches up the red speedo that Mulder loaned him and reapplies the duct tape holding it up.

Meanwhile, at the klub, Bubba's event is showing on the big screen tv. The announcers are going wild:

Cynthia: That was a bee-YOO-tee-ful dive, Tim!

Tim: You're absolutely right, Cynthia. No one else in the competition is even attempting that dive. The degree of difficulty must be off the charts!

Cynthia: It certainly is, Tim. As you'll see in the slow-motion replay, Bubba performs an amazing ballet move. Here! See how he pirouettes? Look at how his toes are pointed. Amazing!

Tim: What about the take off, Cynthia?

Cynthia: It's absolutely perfect, Tim. Look at how he appears to just fall off the edge of the platform. You can't teach that. And look at that tuck position. Knees firmly against his chest, arms neatly wrapped around the legs.

Tim: I didn't see any splash on that entry, Cynthia.

Cynthia: That's because there wasn't any, Tim. Watch how his arms snap to a point over his head, which made for a clean entry. The fact that another diver helped him out of the pool indicates to me, Tim, that the other divers are conceding victory to Bubba.

Tim: Well, it was a French diver, Cynthia, so we shouldn't rush to conclusions. The scores are now being announced. 10...10...10...12.5...

Cynthia: These are absolutely unprecedented scores, Tim. The highest you can receive is a 10, so the fact that the Bulgarian judge gave him a 12.5 is astonishing! Very impressive. I think Bubba may have won the event on this single dive, Tim.

Tim: That he has, Cynthia. Unfortunately, we won't be able to interview him - he is also coaching a soccer team in these Olympics.

Cynthia: He is an amazing athlete, Tim.

The klub goers are shocked. Bubba is coaching a soccer team? "I knew that little green alien was up to something," says kande. "Hey! Where's my cat?"
