Bubba from....um...Hzzrrptlgtlppzzrrptt. Where's that? The Apalachians? [sp]

And as the flag raises, Bubba beams from atop the dais.
Dum, dum, dah, dah.
Dum, dum, dah dee daaaah.

[Why isn't he singing his anthem? Maybe he doesn't know the words or he may be just over come with emotion.]

As the anthem ends a surge of spectators flood onto the stage and lift Bubba high above their heads. They carry the alien out of the diving complex much to the crowd's perplexity.

The klub goers stare at the big screen. "Well" says Kande, coming to her senses" I think we just met the soccer team" She hands out more root beers to wash down the souvlaki and quench the mouths that had dried out from watching Bubba.

Meanwhile the screen flickers and everyone turns to watch the update from the Study marathon.

[Here's Kenamom from Canada going hammer and tongs on a quadratic equation. She's done amazingly well and is already half way through the mathematics section of this arduous event. She did, however, get some stiff competition from the great grandmother from iceland.....Agnetha Ingadottir. Really gave Kenamom a run for her money on the Laws and Physics of Geysers assignment. But I think Kenamom has her pegged on the Tourist Value of Fjords and Glaciers in the hospitality section. Kenamom's third assignment in Political Science, really put her in the lead with the Virtues of a Constitutional Monarchy. Only the NewZealander and the Australian gave her any competition on that one. It's tough stuff but someone's gotta do it and we're looking at a true champion.]

The screen flickers....

[Now we cross live to the Wrangling section of the Rootin, Tootin event. Here we see Islandgirl on her trusty steed, Bullet. First she has to cut out a steer from the herd, then she must carefully manouvre the beast around a specialised obstacle course. It's a tough one. Here she goes. Through he golden arches, around the oil well, under the banner of JR, between to two statues of Texas Rangers and next... this is the hardest move. She'll lose the beast for sure....over the bridge, onto the island, up into the mini coral and as she closes the gate she hits the button and ...yes that's it.....Glen Campbell's famous song. She's done it! Islandgirl's won the wrangling. Well done to Islandgirl.]

Everyone in the klub claps and makes a toast to their own Shipperville champion.Looks like Bubba won't be the only one to win gold for Shipperville
